Ben
Meet Ben a delightful brown and white tabby, born around January 8, 2013. Ben was first seen in Ottawa south in the summer of 2013. He was hanging around with feral cats and eating at the homes that put out food for the stray cats. When winter came, he used the winter houses made for the cats by a few caring people in the area.
Although he was not approachable, one of the people who fed him believed that he was not feral; something in his eyes said "please help me". Ben began to recognize her voice, and the sound of her car. He would come running whenever she was outside, but would not get too close. One cold day she noticed that he was limping and would not put his hind leg down. She trapped him, and brought him to a veterinarian through Cat Rescue Network. They found that he had severe frost bite on the pads of three feet, many scars and scratches, and had an abscess in his ear.
He has now been treated, neutered and vaccinated and is doing very well. He is a gentle and friendly domestic cat, very grateful to be indoors and loving the warmth and attention. He likes other cats and gets on well with his foster mates.
Ben needs a loving forever home; one that will appreciate this wonderful boy and who will ensure that he is never homeless again.
